At 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬, we recently supported a major marine infrastructure project by delivering a detailed 𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 for a barge acting as a working platform during the construction of a large concrete 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞.

Our scope included:

·        Developing a custom 𝐡𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥 of the barge

·        Specifying the 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 to suit site conditions

·        Analysing mooring performance under combined 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐬 using site-specific metocean data

·        Considering operational motion limits due to a 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐞 onboard
