Project Update

It’s been a busy (in the best way) few weeks at Scott Marine Consultants, so we wanted to share a little snapshot of what we've been working on across our marine and offshore capabilities.

➤ 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲

 We supported a client by analysing transport risk studies and route options for floating offshore wind units, looking at cycle durations across the year and helping them benchmark contractor proposals with real, data-driven insight.

➤  𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐝 – 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐂𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐚)

 Using our in-house Cicada software, we modelled weather downtime and operability for assembly and installation. This gave the project team a clear view of what’s achievable, implications of inputs and predicted delays.

➤ 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤-𝐮𝐩 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 - 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥, 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐄𝐀 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 

 We carried out a full-scope assessment for a jack-up operations at a challenging location. This included geotechnical work, site-specific analysis, and detailed leg and spudcan structural FEA engineering.
