Naval Architecture & Offshore Engineering - Quayside Mooring Analysis

Overview:
Scott Marine Consultants performed a quayside mooring analysis for a barge in a standby location on a quayside.
The main outputs of the study included:
Creation of the barge hydrodynamic model
Specification of the ideal mooring arrangement and mooring line properties
Modelling of the quayside fenders and bollard positions
Value Added:
As the result of this assessment, we supported the client by:
De-risking the operation
Providing optimised mooring configuration to ensure mooring line integrity
Providing optimal longitudinal position for the barge to reduce mooring line utilisation in worst-case environmental conditions
